i have noticed that they are not in interest list of bird keepers now. it could be due to their low price.

allow me to share my dominant silver spangle tiel:

Could be, Bro, that because of its' low price, it doesn't get the attention of other bird keepers.

That is truly unfair for the tiels. they are one of the best pet birds to keep since they are easy to maintain and not quarrelsome like other species.

They are of the same family as cockatoos which explains their beautiful crest. I even thought their crests were combed with gel to make it stand when I first saw this specie.

I once read in a book that a lady from Australia was asked which bird is best for her to keep. Her answer... quarrion, their local word for cockatiel.

Thank you Sir. Actually, im trying to collect all the mutations available. So far, i only need the cinnamon and albino to complete my collection. hehehehehe . . . The thing is, i have started collecting high mutation tiels since they are already seldom seen now.

Anyway, ill try to post their pictures. Ill try to prepare this silver so that i can include him on the show next year. Maybe its time to have a break on breeding for him and give it a try on shows

as the book says, this is a dominant mutation and will surely be visual on the chicks

im a bit confused na sa mga nababasa ko sa tiels. i have read a book saying that the spangle silver tiel is an autosomal recssive trait and another saying that it is a dominant one. parng dun ako naniniwala sa recessive kasi lahat ng inanak nyan sa akin e walang visual na silver spangle

na confirm ko na sa isang book sir. it states that spangle silver tiel is different from the australlian dominant silver. kaya pala ganun nilabas na mga anak. kailangan pa palang isang balik para lumabas yung spangle silver
